Ann Arbor Project

Chris and Holly long to see a community of people practicing the way of Jesus together for the sake of the city.
Together, they are excited to return to their home state of Michigan to plant a new church in Ann Arbor, just 30 minutes from where they both grew up. They believe their roots in the state, understanding of the culture, and years of ministry experience have uniquely prepared them for this work. Their vision is to build a community centered on the way of Jesus, where people can enjoy God, find family, and love their city. They envision a church where people encounter Jesus, are formed through scripture and intentional rhythms of life, and are sent to live faithfully across every sphere of daily life.
Ann Arbor is a vibrant, highly educated city of around 123,000 people and home to the University of Michigan. While it thrives on curiosity, innovation, and achievement, it also carries a heavy culture of academic and professional pressure. Chris and Holly see this as a unique opportunity — to help people discover a life rooted not in performance, but in the person of Jesus.
With over 12 years of full-time ministry experience between them, they are well-equipped for this calling. Most recently, they helped plant a church in Magnolia, Texas, where Chris served as Executive Pastor of Ministries and Holly as Kids Pastor. Their combined background spans church planting, discipleship, leadership development, and family ministry.
Now married with two children, Jack and Jordy, Chris and Holly are returning to their roots with a simple but profound prayer: that the spiritually curious people of Ann Arbor would find Jesus, find community, and live on mission together for the sake of their city.
