Planters

Manoel and Florina Bispo

Manoel and Florina are church planters based in Zurich, Switzerland, called to build a strong, life-giving church in one of Europe’s most influential and diverse cities.

Married in 2022, they are parents to their daughter Junia and are expecting another child. Their family reflects a beautiful mix of cultures—Swiss, Kosovar, Brazilian, and New Zealand—mirroring the diversity of the city they are called to serve.

Florina was born and raised in Lucerne to a Swiss mother and Kosovar father, growing up in a multicultural environment. Manoel was born in Brazil and spent 15 years in New Zealand, where they met and together led and pioneered ministries. After many years of serving in New Zealand, they sensed a clear call from God to relocate to Switzerland to help build a new generation of strong believers.

Zurich is Switzerland’s largest city and one of the most global cities in the world, yet only about 2% of the population regularly attends church. Despite its prosperity, many people live with isolation, pressure, and a deep longing for meaning and belonging.

Their vision is to build a church where belonging comes before believing—a place of growth, restoration, and empowerment for people from all backgrounds—and they believe that through this church plant, the cross on Switzerland’s flag will become the cross on the hearts of many.
